Private Charles Blackett (service no. 368) was born circa 1891.

He was married at the time of enlistment. He embarked on HMAT A20 Hororata on 2nd May, 1916 with his brother Ralph. Charles served on the Western Front with B Company 34th Battalion and saw active service. He had been kicked in the head by a horse before he enlisted and while he was accepted for active service this became a problem for him. In November 1917 he was returned to Australia and discharged medically unfit due to a frontal wound to skull from an old injury.

Charles died in 1971.
