Ronald Robertson (Service No 4569) was born in Nowra, N.S.W. around 1891.  He enlisted at the age of 23,  when he was living in Wilson st Wollongong, N.S.W.  He was single and employed as a shop assistant. 

Ronald embarked on RMS Osterly on 15th January 1916 with 14th Reinforcements, 2nd Battalion.  Ronald served on the Western Front from 10th July 1917.  He was not wounded and returned to Australia in June 1919, and was discharged on 3rd October 1919.

Ronald is commemorated on the Wollongong Presbyterian Church Roll of Honour, along with his brothers Samuel Robertson (Service No 2943) and William Robertson (Service No 2944 ).
