Arthur Robinson (Service No 946) was born in Wollongong, N.S.W. around 1894 and had spent 2 years in the CMF before he enlisted, when he was 20 years old.  At this time he worked as a farmer and was a single man.

Arthur embarked from Melbourne on HMAT A40 Ceramic with 15th Battalion, F Company on 22nd December 1914.

He arrived in Egypt and after training was sent to Gallipoli.  His was a short war: while serving with the 6th Platoon, B Company at Quinns Post on 9th May 1915 he was killed while charging the trenches .

Thre is no known grave for Arthur and he is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial.
