William Allsop was born in Helensburgh, NSW about 1892 and enlisted in Toowoomba. He was posted to No 2 Depot Battalion. Soon after enlistment he contracted measles. He was admitted to Brisbane Hospital but died from Pneumonia brought on by measles on 9th November 1915.
