Malcolm Nash (Service No 5287) was born in Wollongong in 1890.  At an early age he relocated with his family to Adelaide.

Malcolm married Doris Bloch in 1916.  When he enlisted Malcolm was 25 years old and employed as a clerk.  On enlistment he was posted to D Company Infantry at Mitcham Camp.  On 11th August 1916 Malcolm was posted to the School of Musketry as a Sergeant instructor.

On 24th July 1917 Malcolm passed away at his home from peritonitis.  He did not serve overseas and no medals were issued to his family.

Malcolm is buried in North Road Anglican Cemetery, Nailsworth, Adelaide, and is commemorated on the Australian War Memorial.
