James Robinson (Service No 5167) appears to be the twin brother of Joseph Robinson (Service No 5219).  He was born in Dalton, England around 1888.

James enlisted when he was 28 years old; he was single, lived at Corrimal, N.S.W. and worked as a coal miner.  He embarked from  Sydney on board HMAT A16 Star of Victoria with 16th Reinforcements, 13th Battalion on 31st March 1916.

James was admitted to hospital in Egypt on 1st July 1916 due to illness and was returned to Australia, arriving on 7 Autust 1916, where he was admitted to hospital. James finally arrived in England on 22nd November 1916.  James was re-admitted to hospital in England for treatment on 15th March 1917.

James was returned to Australia for the second time in October 1917, and discharged on 23rd January 1918.

James died in Bulli in 1932 and is buried in Bulli Cemetery.
