Warren James Watts
Warren Watts (Service No 2749) was born in Windsor, N.S.W. around 1888.
Warren was 28 years old, single, and worked as a butter packer at Nowra, N.S.W. when he enlisted with his brother William (Service No 2748).
Warren embarked from Sydney on board HMAT A40 Ceramic with 6th Reinforcements on 7th October 1916. The troops arrived in England on 21st November 1916. Warren joined the 45th Battalion in France on 6th April 1917 and was involved in the fighting for Messines Ridge when and he was killed in action.
There is no known grave for Warren; He is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial at Ypres Belgium and in the Nowra Cemetery, N.S.W.
Warren's brother William died on 30th January 1917 after being wounded in action.
