Wallace Pepper (Service No 3101) was born in Nowra, N.S.W. 

Wallace enlisted with is brothers Harry & Thomas.  Wallace was single, 28 years of age,  worked as an estate agent, and lived in Berry, N.S.W.

He embarked from Sydney on board HMAT A68 Anchises with 7th Reinforcements, 34th Battalion on 24th January 1917, and arrived in England on 27th March 1917.

After training Wallace was sent to France to serve on the Western Front, arriving on 17th November 1917.  On 18th August 1918, he was wounded in action but remained on duty.

On 11th November Wallace was transferred to 9th Field Ambulance. 

Wallace married while Agnes Ward in Edinburgh on 9th July 1919.

He returned to Australia in December 1919, and was discharged from the AIF on 8th February 1921.
