Septimus Frank Osborne
Septimus Osborne was born in Kiama, N.S.W.
Septimus Osborne had previously served on active service with NSW Lancers in South Africa during the Boer War.
On 15th October, 1902 Septimus married Muriel Milson in Sydney and together they had 2 children.
Septimus was 40 years old, and working as a grazier when he enlisted.
He embarked from Sydney on HMAT A57 Malakuta on 16th March 1916, the day after he had enlisted. He embarked as Sea transport staff Veterinary Officer as temporary Captain.
When he arrived in Egypt on 24th October 1916 Septimus was sent to an isolation camp.
He returned to Australia as transport staff via Bombay in November 1916 and was discharged on 30th December 1916.
Septimus did not see active service and seems to have been enlisted for a specific task.
