Keith Stuart Everett
Keith Everett (Service No 2060) was born in Cobar, N.S.W. in 1898.
When Keith enlisted he was 18 years old, single, lived at Scarborough, N.S.W. and worked as a farmer.
He embarked from Sydney on HMAT A68 Anchises with 3rd Reinforcements, 36th Battalion on 24th August 1916. He arrived in England on 11th October 1916 and on 20th December 1916 joined 33rd Battalion in France.
The severe winter of 1916/17 saw him admitted to hospital in France sick on 28th January 1917, however he returned to his unit on 2nd February. Keith saw service on the Western Front until 12th October 1917 when he was wounded at Passchendaele. He was evacuated to hospital in England for treatment of a gun shot wound to his left forearm. He returned to his unit on 18th April 1918.
Keith was wounded a second time on 1st June 1918 when he was gassed. He was sent to hospital in England for treatment.
He was returned to Australia in February 1919 and discharged medically unfit on 18th May 1919.
Keith died in Wyong, N.S.W. in 1970.
