Thomas Moore (Service No 1399)  was born in Dapto, N.S.W.  Thomas attended Marshall Mount Public School, N.S.W.

When Thomas enlisted he was single, 19 years old, and worked as a farmer at Marshall Mount.  Thomas has previously served in B Squadron 28th Light Horse at Unanderra, N.S.W.

He embarked from Sydney on SS Hawkes Bay with 11th Reinforcements, 6th Light Horse on 23rd October 1915. Soon after arriving in Egypt he was admitted to hospital with mumps.

Thomas saw service in the Middle East for a couple of months but was then  transferred to the artillery.  

He arrived in France on 24th June 1916 and saw service on the Western Front. On 21st January 1917 he was posted to 17th battery Field Artillery.

Thomas was returned to Australia in April 1919 and was discharged on 4th August 1919.

In 1931 he married Linda Potts and together they had 3 children.

Thomas died in 1977.
