Harry Wyard (Service No 1695) was born in Temora, N.S.W.

At enlistment Harry was 21 years of age and worked as a butcher.  His father George lived at Corrimal, N.S.W. and was Harry's nominated next of kin.  

Harry embarked from Sydney on HMAT A14 Euripides with 11th Reinforcements, 6th Light Horse on 2nd November 1915.  

On 8th December 1915 Harry was admitted to hospital in Cairo with mumps and was discharged to duty on 5th January 1916.

On 23rd July 1916 he was posted to the Machine Gun Squadron and saw service in the Middle East as a machine gunner.

Harry returned to Australia in August 1919 and was discharged on 3rd November 1919.

In 1925 he married Winifred at Bankstown, N.S.W.
