William Grey (Service No 2307) was born in Otago, New Zealand around 1892.
At enlistment he was 24 years old, single, lived at Thirroul, N.S.W. and worked as a platelayer.
William embarked from Sydney on HMAT A30 Borda with 4th Reinforcements, 36th Battalion, on 17th October 1916. The troops arrived in England on 9th January 1917.
On 6th December 1918 William married Mary Manson in London.
William and Mary returned to Australia with their child in October 1919 and was discharged.
William died at Bellambi in 1943.
