William Wright
William Wright (Service No 2750) was born at Scarborough, N.S.W.
At enlistment William was single, 24 years old, and worked as a butchers assistant.
He embarked from Sydney on HMAT A40 Ceramic with 6th Reinforcements, 45th Battalion, on 7th October 1916. The troops arrived in England on 21st November 1916 and William joined 45th Battalion in France on 1st April 1917.
He saw service on the Western Front until he was wounded on 8th May 1917. William was wounded a 2nd time, on 7th February 1918. There are specific details as to William's injuries stated for either entry.
He was returned to Australia in June 1919 and discharged on 28th August 1919.
In 1919 William married Esther Pollard.
William he died in 1954.
