Harry Savage (Service No 2282) was born in Bromsgrove, England. He immigrated to Australia in 1913.

When Harry enlisted he was single, 30 years of age, lived in Thirroul N.S.W and his occupation was listed as signalman.

His brother Albert was listed as his next of kin. Harry embarked from Melbourne, Victoia on HMAT A15, The Port Sydney, with the 1917 reinforcements on 9th November 1917.

He arrived in England on 4th January 1918 and joined 4th Broad Gauge Railway in France on 1st March 1918.

Harry saw service on the Western Front and returned to Australia on 1 July 1919.

Harry was discharged on 10th September 1919.
