Malcolm Charles Johnston
Malcolm Johnston (Service No 36741) was born in Woonona, N.S.W. and keen to serve.
Having previously been rejected due to his age, Malcolm was successful on his second try, but was caught out and discharged on 22nd September 1916 as underage.
On 27th May 1920 he enlisted in the Royal Australian Navy and served as a Stoker (Service No 12421) until he was invalided out on 2nd July 1921.
On 2nd May 1923 Malcolm married Isabella Northey and together they raised 8 children.
Malcolm enlisted again for service in World WarII.
He died in 1963 and is buried in Rookwood Cemetery, N.S.W.
