Leslie Thomson (Service no 3142) was born in May 1893 in Bulli, NSW.

At the time of enlistment Leslie was single, 24 years of age and employed as a postman.

Leslie embarked on HMAT A68 - Anchises with the 35th Battalion, 7th Reinforcements  on 24th January 1917. He arrived in England on 27th March 1917 but did not join 35th battalion in France until 24th March 1918. He saw service on the Western Front until 27th September 1918 when he was admitted to hospital sick with influenza. He was returned to Australia in October 1918 and discharged medically unfit due to the influenza on 26th March 1919. In 1921 he married Rose Owers at Hurstville and raised 3 children. He died in 1965.
