Dagworth Edward Tunks
Dagworth Tunks (Service no 1935) was born in Parramatta, NSW.
At the time of enlistment Dagworth was single, 19 years of age and employed as a railway porter.
Dagworth embarked on HMAT A15 - Port Sydney with 36th Battalion, 2nd Reinforcement on 4 September 1916. He arrived in England on 29 October 1916 and was posted to the Australian Dermatological Hospital in England on 20 March 1917. He had been classified as medical class B.
Dagworth served in England until he returned to Australia as staff on the ship in August 1918.
Dagworth was medically discharged on 22 November 1918.
In 1921 he married May Phillips and together they had 3 children. They divorced in 1946.
Dagworth is remembered on the Albion Park and Shellharbour Rolls of Honor.
