Edward Stanley Parrish
Edward Parrish (Service No 6915) was born in Kiama, N.S.W., and went to Queensland with his family as a child.
At enlistment he was 24 years of age, single and employed as a farmer.
Edward embarked on HMAT A20 Hororata, with the 26th Battalion, 20th Reinforcement, on the 14 June 1917.
He disembarked in England on 26 September 1917 and joined the 52nd Battalion in France, on 9 February 1918.
On 16 May 1918, Edward joined the 49th Battalion and saw service on the Western Front.
He returned to Australia in September 1919 and was discharged on 21 November 1919.
On 20th November 1920, Edward married Eva Lancaster and the couple had one child.
Edward died in 1982.
Edward's brothers, Oliver Parrish (Service No 103) and Ernest Parrish (Service No 3353), also served.
