Reginald Thomas Doyle
Reginald Doyle was born in Wollongong, NSW in 1899. At the time of enlistment he was single, 18 years of age, employed as a bank clerk and resided in Wollongong, NSW.
Reginald embarked on SS Canberra with 7th Light Horse, 33rd Reinforcements on 16 November 1917. He arrived in Egypt on 21 December 1917 and saw service in Egypt and the Middle East until the end of the War.
Reginald was returned to Australia on 28 June 1919 and medically discharged on 11 September 1919.
In 1939, he was the licensee of the Royal Hotel in Dunedoo, NSW when he was admitted to the Dawn Private Hospital for treatment of a broken ankle. He had received the broken ankle when he had fallen down the hotel stairs. Reginald died suddenly and unexpectedly on 29 May 1939. He was not married and was given a large RSL Funeral in Dunedoo, NSW.
