Arthur Dalgetta Lewis
Arthur Dalgetta Lewis (Service No 4167), was born in Shellharbour, N.S.W. and moved to Lismore, N.S.W., with his family around 1908.
When he enlisted in Brisbane, Qld, he was single, 21 years old, worked as a clerk and had served 3 years with the Cadets.
Arthur embarked on HMAT A73 Commonwealth, with 25th Battalion, 10th Reinforcement, on 28th March 1916. He arrived in Egypt in April 1916, before going to France on 5th June 1916. Arthur joined 25th Battalion, A Company, on 4th August 1916.
On 14th November 1916, Arthur was killed in action at Flers, France.
He is buried in Warlencourt British Cemetery, Plot V, Row C, Grave 21.
