Frederick William Perry
Frederick Perry (Service No 11384) was born in Albion Park, NSW.
At enlistment Frederick was single, 25 years old, employed as a carpenter and lived in Mascot, NSW. He embarked on RMS Osterley with 14th Reinforcements, Field Artillery Brigade 1 on 15th January 1916.
After joining his unit in Egypt on 13th February 1916 he arrived in France on 2nd April 1916. On 26th August 1916 he was admitted to hospital with a foot injury. Frederick did not recover from this injury and was repatriated to Australia in May 1917, and discharged medically unfit on 30th August 1917.
In 1919 Frederick married Esther Nowland in Sydney and they had 2 children.
In 1942 the family was living in Victoria when Frederick enlisted for service in World War II. Serving as a Lance Corporal (Service No V350705) Frederick Perry with 21st Battalion, Australian Volunteer Corps from 3rd February 1942 until he died while serving on 29th January 1944.
