Details:
George Standen (Service no 118) was born in Bulli, NSW and decided joined the Navy in 1904.
George served as a member of the Royal Navy until the creation of the Royal Australian Navy. He served in the Pacific and the North Sea during the War and was discharged on 5 February 1921.
His brothers Roderick Edwin (Service no 12/449), William Thomas (1204) and Robert Henry (Service no 5228) also served.
George then went on to the reserve list in 1928 and served again during the Second World War.
On 30 August 1913, he married Martha Morgan and together they had 2 children.
George died in 1966.
