Shadrack Webb (Service No 3276) was born in Kidderminster, England in October 1882.

At enlistment he was single, 34 years old, worked as a labourer, and lived at Gerringong, N.S.W.  He embarked from Sydney on HMAT A29 Suevic with 19th Battalion, 7th Reinforcement on 20th December 1915.

He arrived in Egypt and was transferred to 4th Battalion on 14th February 1916.  The battalion arrived in France and took part in the battle for Pozieres.

Sometime between 22nd and 27th July, Shadrack was wounded in action and evacuated to hospital in England for treatment of a gun shot wound to his left forearm.  He was evenutally deemed unfit for further active service and repatriated to Australia in December 1916.  After further treatment in Australia he was discharged from the AIF, medically unfit, on 17th May 1917.
