George Missingham (Service no 29184) was born in Kiama, NSW in February 1895.

At the time of enlistmen, George was single, 21 years of age and employed as a farrier.

George embarked on the HMAT A60 - Aeneas with the Howitzer Brigade 116 as a Shoeing Smith on 30 September 1916.  He arrived in England on 19 November 1916 and joined his unit in France on 24 May 1917.

On 28 May, George was admitted to hospital with concussion and abrasions but resumed duty on 31 May.

On 28 September 1917, he was admitted to hospital for treatment of an accidental injury to his right knee. 

George returned to Australia in March 1918 and medically discharged on 12 June 1918.

In August 1918, he married Maggie Henderson in Sydney and together they had 4 children divorcing in 1938.

George died in 1950.
