Jack Finton Hunt (Service No 1883) was born in Sydney, N.S.W.

At enlistment he was 22 years old, single, worked as a farm hand and lived in Wollongong, N.S.W.

Jack embarked on HMAT A60 Aeneas with the 1st Light Horse Regiment, 13th Reinforcement, on 20th December 1915. After arriving in Egypt he was transferred to the 5th Field Artillery Brigade on 1st March 1916.

Jack arrived in France on 20th May 1916 and was posted to the 14th Battery on 20th September 1916. He saw service on the Western Front and was returned to Australia in May 1919. Jack was discharged on 27th August 1919.

 Jack married Edith Palmer in Sydney, N.S.W., on 29th October 1919 and the couple raised 2 children.

 Jack died in 1963 and is buried in Point Clare Cemetery, Point Clare, N.S.W.
