Harry Beach (Service No 3014) was born in Dapto, N.S.W. and attended Dapto Public School.  One of 12 children, Harry was the son of world champion sculler William Beach.

At enlistment Harry was single, 22 years old, and worked as a compositor.  He embarked from Sydney on HMAT A68 Anchises with 7th Reinforcements, 35th Battalion, on 24th January 1917.  The troops arrived in England on 27th March 1917 and Harry joined his Unit in France on 24th March 1918.

He saw service on the Western Front and was returned to Australia as a Corporal in July 1919.  He was discharged on 27th September 1919.

In 1924 Harry married Florence Fountain at Dapto.

He died in Gosford in 1965.

Harry's brother William A Beach (Service No 1034) also served.
