Alexander Charles Dibden (Service No 3000), was born in Sydney, N.S.W.

On 27th July 1895, he married Catherine Flanagan, in Sydney, N.S.W. In 1905, Alexander and Catherine moved to Thirroul, N.S.W. with their children.

At enlistment, he was 43 years old, worked as a carpenter, lived in Thirroul, N.S.W. and had served 5 years in the Militia.

Alexander embarked on HMAT A30 Borda, with 1918 Reinforcements on 17th July 1918, disembarking in England on 27th September 1918. On 5th November 1918, Edgar arrived in France and served with the Railway Company. He returned to Australia in July 1919, and was discharged on 7th November 1919.

Alexander died in Sydney, N.S.W. in November 1951, and is buried in Woronora Cemetery, Sutherland, N.S.W.
