Kenneth Cameron (Service no 4385) was born in Dundonnell, Scotland in 1873.

At the time of enlistment Kenneth was single, 42 years of age, employed as a blacksmith and residing in Scarborough, NSW.

Kenneth embarked on HMAT A71 - Nestor with the 20th Battalion, 11th Reinforcements on 9 April 1916.  He arrived in France on 8 September 1916 after stopping in Egypt. Kenneth joined the 20th Battalion in Belgium on 18 September 1916. 

Kenneth saw service on the Western Front until he was wounded in action on 3 May 1917.  He was evacuated to hospital in England for treatment of  gun shot wounds to his head,face and eyes. 

Kenneth was repatriated to Australia in September 1917 and discharged as medically unfit on 13 May 1918.   

Kenneth was granted a disability pension due to his service related blindness.

Kenneth married May Anderson in early 1918.

Kenneth died in 1953 and is buried in Eastern Suburbs Cemetery.
